I'm Larry, a Colorado native and former professional kayaker. I spent much of my life exploring rivers and whitewater destinations throughout Latin America. My adventures led me to Ecuador, where I ran a kayak business and built a small riverside hotel. I met Tessa during a rafting trip in the Grand Canyon in 2008. Shortly after, we started traveling together and have been inseparable ever since. Originally from the Netherlands, Tessa enjoyed the Latin American vibe, which eventually brought us to Sayulita. 
 After owning a condo on Gringo Hill for five years, we found ourselves yearning for more space, lush greenery, and a home with character.That's when we discovered Casa Orquidea, a charming but timeworn two-bedroom hacienda-style house that needed a complete overhaul. After months of remodeling, we completed Villa PB-lita and the PB court in October 2024.We now spend a few months a year here and are excited to share this special place with you while we're away.
